Laces is a Brazilian network of hair spas based in São Paulo which was created with the mission of promoting the natural health of hair. Their visionary approach to natural and organic hair care has resulted in an approach to the design of hair salons and a customer experience which is so exceptional that Maria and I decided to include an interview with Cris Dios, the founder of Laces, for Customer Experiences with Soul.
It is therefore fantastic to be able to announce that last night Laces won the highly prestigious Premio Eco® award, the most highly-regarded sustainability award in Brazil, which is organised by Amcham, the American Chamber of Commerce and the newspaper Estadão.
Maria and I have just arrived back from Argentina where we were giving a presentation at Sustainable Brands Buenos Aires about both Customer Experiences with Soul and our first book Holonomics: Business Where People and Planet Matter. It was a very deep talk, examining wholeness in our lived experience, and then introducing the holonomic circle, our new tool which is helping brands and organisations design customer experiences which fully articulate soul. Following a five year search for more sustainable and healthy hair care solutions, this month Cris Dios, cosmetologist and co-founder of Laces and Hair, recently launched Brazil’s first range of 100% natural hair colour solutions.
As well as nourishing hair fibres without fading them, they are also an excellent solution for people who suffer allergic reactions to products containing chemicals. I recently had the chance to speak in depth with Cris about both the importance of these new products, how they are a part of a more systemic solution within a wider ecosystem, and also how her approach to beauty epitomises our concept of Customer Experiences with Soul.
